Key Responsibilities :

1. Design & Planning

•Review and approve MEP shop drawings, schematics, and BOQ for mall projects.

•Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and contractors to integrate MEP systems.

•Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC, UPC, and local building codes.

•Perform HVAC load calculations, electrical load scheduling, and plumbing layouts for retail spaces.

2. Installation & Supervision

•Oversee HVAC (chillers, AHUs, ventilation), electrical (substations, lighting, fire alarm), and plumbing (sewage, water supply, firefighting) installations.

•Conduct site inspections to ensure quality and adherence to design specifications.

•Manage MEP subcontractors and ensure timely execution.

3. Testing & Commissioning

•Lead MEP system testing (pressure tests, electrical load testing, fire alarm simulations).

•Troubleshoot issues in HVAC, lighting, escalators, elevators, and fire protection systems.

•Ensure BMS (Building Management System) integration for energy efficiency.

4. Maintenance & Operations

•Develop preventive maintenance schedules for mall MEP systems.

•Monitor energy consumption and recommend optimization strategies.

•Resolve tenant complaints related to AC, power supply, or plumbing.

5. Documentation & Compliance

•Prepare as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and compliance reports.

•Ensure adherence to green building standards (LEED, Estidama, etc.).

•Liaise with government authorities (Civil Defense) for approvals.

Skills & Qualifications :

•Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (MEP specialization preferred).

•Experience: 3+ years in mall, retail, or commercial MEP projects.

•Technical Skills:

o AutoCAD MEP, Revit MEP, HAP (HVAC), Dialux (Lighting).

o Knowledge of VRF systems, firefighting systems, LV/MV distribution.

•Soft Skills :

Project management, problem-solving, teamwork.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: QAR6,000.00 - QAR9,000.00 per month
