A) Responsibilities and Duties:

· To receive, sort and count all linen and uniforms as per the hotel procedure.

· To prepare clean linen and uniforms for issue on a daily basis.

· To check condition of uniforms and send damaged ones to seamstress for repair.

· To check condition of hotel linen ensuring soiled or damaged items are separated from the good.

· Reports engineering failures and breakdowns to immediate supervisors.

· Maintains linen room in a clean and tidy condition.

· Ensures linen and uniforms are properly stored and par levels maintained.

· Assists in linen and uniform inventory control.

· Ensures cleaned guest laundry is delivered accurately and on time.

· Executes departmental administration filling in forms and checklists as required on time.

· Brings immediately to the Housekeeping Office any item(s) left in guest clothing and room linen or host uniforms, and follow the standard operating procedure.

· Contributes to the morale and team spirit of the hotel by maintaining effective relationships with colleagues.

· Performs additional duties as directed by supervisors.

· Makes appropriate suggestions and recommendations to supervisors for the general improvement of the hotel.

· Is fully conversant with all health and safety, fires and emergency procedures.

· Maintains a high standard of personal hygiene, dress, uniform, and body language.

· Is polite and professional in any situation where the image or reputation of the hotel is represented.

· Attends meetings and training as required by supervisors.

Additonal duties and responsibilities:

· Ensure integrity and confidentiality of information at all times.

· To perform any additional requirement, tasks and duties outside of his/her scope of work as deemed necessary by your Immediate Manager or the Management.

· Changes in business may require alterations to this Job Description.
