Core Duties

• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in budget preparation and provide financial forecasts.
• Audit Coordination: Support internal and external audits, including documentation and compliance.
• Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns; ensure adherence to local, state, and federal tax laws.
• Internal Controls: Implement and monitor financial controls to safeguard assets.
• Team Leadership: Mentor junior accountants and delegate tasks effectively.
• Variance Analysis: Analyze financial data and report discrepancies to management.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure financial practices align with GAAP and other regulations.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with departments like sales and operations to align financial goals.

Qualifications and SkillsEducation

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
• Master’s Degree or MBA with an accounting focus (preferred).
• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) certification (highly preferred).

Experience

• 5–7 years of professional accounting experience
• a must experience with a CONTRACTING COMPANY (Construction)
• Experience in financial reporting, tax preparation, audits, and budgeting.
• Prior supervisory or leadership roles are advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modeling).
• Familiarity with GAAP and financial regulations.

Experience:
