RoleThe Client Executive- Marine Practice is responsible for managing and servicing a portfolio of marine insurance clients across Corporate and SME segments. The role focuses on delivering exceptional client service, ensuring effective placement and administration of marine insurance programs, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, insurers, and internal stakeholders.
The position plays a key part in supporting business retention and growth, contributing to the development of innovative marine solutions across Hull, Cargo, Liability, and associated lines, and aligning with Lockton's global standards of excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the primary contact for assigned Marine clients, managing day-to day servicing requirements including policy issuance, endorsements, renewals, and documentation.
- Conduct regular client meetings to review existing insurance arrangements, risk exposures, and coverage adequacy.
- Deliver professional advice and recommendations on marine insurance solutions that best meet client needs.
- Prepare and present renewal strategies, proposals, and reports to clients in coordination with placement and technical teams.
- Maintain a deep understanding of client operations, marine exposures, and risk management priorities.
- Work with underwriters and insurers to obtain and negotiate competitive terms and coverage options for clients.
- Support the preparation of submissions, slips, and market documentation in line with Lockton placement standards.
- Coordinate with Head of Corporate Risks & Broking and regional markets to ensure optimal placement structures.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of marine market trends, insurer appetite, and product developments.
- Contribute to retention of existing clients through high quality servicing and proactive communication.
- Identify opportunities for program enhancement, cross sell, and up sell across marine and other business lines.
- Support the preparation of proposals and presentations for new business opportunities.
- Assist in the development of SME marine propositions, digital servicing models, and distribution initiatives.
- Liaise with the Claims team to ensure timely notification, monitoring, and resolution of client claims.
- Support clients with claims documentation and provide status updates throughout the process.
- Participate in claim review meetings to identify loss trends and improvement areas for clients.
- Ensure all client servicing and placement activities comply with regulatory and internal Lockton standards.
- Maintain accurate records, client files, and compliance documentation in accordance with company policy.
- Support internal audits, documentation reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to developing streamlined processes that enhance efficiency and service delivery.
- Work collaboratively with Placement, Claims, Operations, and Finance teams to deliver seamless client service.
- Support the Senior Marine Client Manager and Marine Practice Leader on portfolio strategy and client development.
- Participate in knowledge sharing, training, and mentoring initiatives within the Marine Practice.
- Coordinate with regional Lockton offices and the Global Marine Practice for multinational clients and global programs.
